People believe that cats are low-maintenance pets, but they do need help with grooming. Longer hair cats can mat easily. Older, obese or cats with medical issues may need more help keeping themselves clean.
Cats are fairly independent and strong-willed so accepting help with grooming isn’t always welcomed. Leaving the work to the professionals is less stressful (and safer)for you and your cat.Professional cat groomers have the proper tools and techniques for handling cats easily and safely. This leads to a more pleasurable experience for the cats and peace of mind for you!
Frequent brushing can help reduce shedding and improve coat health. Regular bathing helps release their undercoat and dander keeping them fresh and clean. Regular grooming can also help reduce hairballs your kitty might get.
For multiple reasons, professional grooming helps cats when self-grooming is not effective.Professional grooming also provides an extra set of trained eyes to identify potential healthconcerns.
Cleaning out the wax and dirt help maintain your cats ears and prevent infections. Teeth cleaning helps prevent dental disease. Keeping eyes clean and clean of discharge is also important.
Proper nail care also helps keep your cat in top condition and saves your house and yourself unnecessary scratches.
Every cat has different needs. Jen’s Grooming recommends every 6-12 weeks to keep your cat in the best shape.
Most cats do not necessarily enjoy going to the groomer. At Jen’s We like to reduce their stress as much as possible. We have an area dedicated to cats, to help reduce stress and noise from the rest of the salon.
We highly recommend speaking to your veterinarian about giving your cat calming drugs before coming to see us.
